At the beginning i did not know what to expect, if you have never had it done before and everyone is different, it is a bit scary . But listen to the doctor and physical therapy and what they say do it to the letter, i did and had a great outcome. Thank you very much to all! My surgery was June 19-2013,
The procedure was explained in detail and Dr. Gibbons and his staff prepared me as to what I should expect before and after surgery. I was provided pictures of my procedure at my follow up visit. I am healing well. I would suggest at minimum an initial visit/ consultation with physical therapy as the two exercises provided post surgery were not enough to rehab my knee.
I have been visiting Dr Gibbons from a workers comp knee injury from October 1992. At some point my knee will have to be replaced. Dr Gibbons monitors or provides supportive care.
Vicki, his nurse, was friendly as always. Dr gibbons showed me my post op X rays and told me how well I was doing. He was very professional and yet personable. We were laughing and he was taking and giving pokes in fun with a smile. He was very positive in encouraging me at continuing to progress and how HE believed I could do this but not to push myself as me knees would also need time to heal.
Had a cortisone injection in right knee. Noticed almost immediate improvement in joint. Was called in to exam room ahead of schedule, and was seen right away. Very happy with appointment.
My shoulder is progressing in it's healing as expected and am very happy with the results. I am now taking therapy to strengthen my muscles and increase my ability to use my arm.
Vickie , explained everything to me. And when Dr. Gibbons came in he gave me the answers I wanted. He has done another surgery for me and it was my right shoulder I really enjoy talking with him . He is very down to earth and really takes good care of his patients.
I was happy with Dr. Gibbons. He was thorough and frank. He explained things very well. I was relieved to find out my injury would not require surgery. I would recommend Dr. Gibbons to others.
Dr Gibbons and his staff have all been great through my whole surgery and recovery process. He and his staff make me feel welcome and he encourages me to ask any questions and he really takes the time to explain everything in detail. I have had no lingering issues with my surgery, and recovery is going a lot better than expected, in my opinion.
