I have been with Dr. Beer since 2006. He listens, he cares. I have referred many patients to him over the years. He has continued to give me the ability to continue to use my hands. He has never offered surgery unless it is absolutely necessary. His staff is second to none.
Many, many years ago you helped my son greatly. He had crushed one of his knuckles in a car door. He had recently lost his job and he did not have any insurance. Mount Carmel East Hospital referred him to you. The hospital called you and you agreed to see him immediately. You preformed surgery on him the next day, right before you were to leave town. He was followed up by the resident. He did fabulous and has never forgotten you or the help you extended to him; you operated free of charge. He has done well in life, he has wo... read more
Dr. Beer has done five surgeries on my hands. I find him to be extremely knowledgeable and personable. As I have gotten to know him over the years he recognizes me and takes a personal interest in my well-being. After I had one of the surgeries, I developed an inflammation —-NOT an infection—-and he demonstrated concern and monitored my progress very closely. The joints in my hands are pain free where I had the surgeries and my quality of life is greatly improved. Initially he recommended non-invasive options before recommen... read more
Explanations clear and complete. Doesn't do unnecessary procedures. The office is very well run and appointments are met on time. Wish he was my primary care doc.
He has treated me since 2004. Excellent rapport, excellent knowledge of my case and communicates options for treatment well. Very down to earth as a person. He listens.
Deplorable. Doesn’t care about post op pain or checking in you afterwards. His main deal is getting you to schedule surgery. MA is only way to get a message thru - no portal, etc. MA thinks she’s the dr. Find a dr that is good & cares about how you are doing
Dr Beer may be a good surgeon, but don't expect him to care at all about rehabilitation post surgery. I had surgery on my hand a year ago, and continue to have residual negative effects, including a numb thumb . He has never reached out to ask how I am doing even though I have called his office to complain of continuing pain, post surgery. I asked him THREE times if he would refer me for Occupational Therapy and his answer each time was "You don't need that". I do not recommend him. Surgery is only half the battle. Rehab is ... read more
Very impressive. Caring and accommodating. Knowledgeable. Great bedside manner. It is important to him that you understand what the issue is. He speaks to you in a manner that is respectful. Many doctors are condescending and make you feel ignorant. Dr Beer is awesome! What can I say? ??
Right diagnosis the first time, especially for an extremely hard to diagnose issue. Great surgeon, quick and efficient. I have had a lot of issues being very young with a lot of medical issues being over looked, and he took my concerns very seriously.
