Tile Store Etiquette – Shopping at The Tile Outlet is very simple. Tiles are marked, knowledgable staff, no-haggle, no pressure buys, etc. I have listened to stories about customers upset over the no return policies on glass, metal, and stone, but you know what? Stone is natural and has inherent natural variation (duh!) so you people looking for uniform color are better off with ceramic or porcelain because they are manufactured to look uniform. A great Chicago Business. – It is a Chicago business. On the receipt, and when shopping, you are specifically told about the 20 day return policy. Also, whole boxes only may be returned- this is as it is everywhere! They have a large staff- who will help you when you ask- they don't want to rush you and know many people take their time looking. Do NOT shop here! Worst customer service I've ever gotten! – The prices might be okay, but the customer service here is absolutely awful. Initially it took forever to get help and all of the staff was very abrupt. Also none of the staff warned me that the tile I was about to buy was non returnable even though I said I might need to bring some of it back.
