Great Selections – I almost didn't go to this tile store since it got such bad reviews here, but I did go last Saturday and my experience was pretty much the same as most folks here mentioned....the first salesperson I asked to help me out was very grumpy and made it obvious he didn't want to help me in any way. Good selection, bad customer service! – If you know what you're doing and just want to buy tile and get out of there, then this place is for you. If you want to ask for opinions or help on something, then definitely don't go there. This place is employed by grumpy underpaid people who just sigh or make rude faces if you ask them a question. Fantastic Selection, Absolutely UNBEATABLE Prices – I rehab houses, and will ONLY shop at Tile Outlet for my tile. I put high end finishes in all my rehabs, and Tile Outlet has the BEST prices on natural stone. Your big chain stores don't have the selection, and their prices are at least double. The sales people are helpful if you ask, but do not approach you, because they are giving you time to make choices. Their return policy is clearly stated all over the store. AWFUL experience! – Our horrible experience this afternoon: We arrived to the store while out running errands, Tile Outlet closes at 6pm, we got there at about 5:40p. Now granted, we knew it was probably too late to buy, but we figured we could at least look. We walk into the store & this guy comes from behind the counter & turns off the lights. BIG LET DOWN. – I just got back from TILE OUTLET. The sales clerk I dealt with was not the least bit helpful and seemed to be BOTHERED by my questions about a certain kind of tile. In my line of work (also customer service) when a customer asks me a question that I don't have the answer to, I ask a co-worker or manager to see if they know. The Tile Outlet is Excellent – The Tile Outlet offers excellent service and an incredible selection of tile, stone, and granite products at unbelievable prices. We spent four hours there last weekend working with their customer service representatives, who were not only very helpful, but also extremely knowledgeable regarding tile installation and attributes of different types of materials. Terrible Customer Service – The people who work here make up stuff to get rid of you so they can sit back on their stools, listen to their heavy metal and get fatter. Yes, you get tile at a discount but if you have any problems look out.
WORST Tile store EVER – DON'T SHOP HERE!!! We had an horrendous experience with Tile Outlet Co, particularly with Derrek the manager. We have done loads of work on our house, all completed by professionals so I think I know what to expect. Our installer bought grout that was supposed to be chocolate brown and it came out white, yes white. When we called we were told to keep installing it, "it is just Chicago water", and if you wipe it with acid after the installation the color will come back. It didn't.
