I highly recommend Tiger Lilly – I felt immediately at home in Tiger Lilly. I had talked to several Portland artists about a couple of pieces I wanted but felt hesitant with every one of them...until I talked to Mike V. at Tiger Lilly. Ben's the best. – Got tattooed by Ben about 8 years ago in New Orleans. Buy far one of my favorite tattoos Still looks like I got it yesterday very vivid colors and just a great solid tattoo. and to see him here was great. Wondered where to go when i arrived in pdx now i know Ben is here.
Great place for a tattoo virgin – I got my first tattoo last week. I was very nervous and I made an appointment with Mike. He was the best. The staff is friendly and the shop is clean. I would go back if I wanted to get inked again!
Fabulous experience, Ben rocks!!! – Went to get my first tattoo, a memorial piece at Tigerlilly. i looked at several portfolios before deciding to talk to Ben. not only was he open to my design (custom, odd), but he was able to incorporate the two ideas into one. It turned out better than i could have ever hoped for. My friend was so impressed, that he had Ben work on a cover-up as soon as we were finished. Worth every penny. The next time I'm in PDX, i'm going back to see Ben!
sick art great employees – Shannon gave me some sick Norse rune art on my shin. People constantly stop and ask me about it. When I brought him the image, he not only acted interested in the concept but he enhanced it and recommended the best placement on my lower leg. I couldn't freak more about how cool it looks! Fine lines, deep black, great appreciation for what I wanted him to create. I'll go back to Shannon and the other great people at Tiger Lilly ever time I want ink! Jon
if it's where you want to go – little uppity but the art is solid missing that little family touch, willing to tattoo whatever even if it really should have been improved upon
After 15 years of thinking about it, I finally got my first tattoo. I went to Amy at Tigar Lilly Tattoo (because of the prior reviews I read here). Amy is just a cool chic - period. She also was good to explain everything to me as she went along. She seems to be very focused when she's tattooing. During the procedure she asked me several times if it hurt. best of Portland – I have bounced around through several different shops looking for comfortable shop with talented artists. I had met Amy at another tattoo parlor four years ago, and heard that she moved to tiger lily.
