STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT LIVING HERE. NEVER, EVER, EVER. I lived in the Rainier Pointe apartment community for a single year. Within that year, there have been 3 different community managers. There is a massive ant, theft, and harassment problem onsite and no action is ever taken to resolve. Bottom line, Thrive does not care about the people they rent to. I have been living in this apartment for five years and have complained yearly about a few leaks in my ceiling. I finally gave up; they don't seem to care that I have dirty water stains running down my wall, very likely causing mold and definitely rusting the wood burning stove. We've also complained about the broken lint trap in our dryer, which needs to be replaced, and the maintenance man just came in, bent it a little bit, and put it back in. Obviously it's... read more

I currently live in Sawyer Flats in Gaithersburg MD. From day 1, this has been a chaotic experience. When I first moved in, I discovered they rented me a handicapped apartment, so two days later, I had to move again. Because they had no small apartments left, and I was already there, they had to put me in a new apartment which was slightly bigger. The first year, they honored the rent of my lease. Be very cautious about them. The apartment I live right now, the two person who takes care of the apartment, does not know how to deliver information. For the same question, two person will come with two different answers. Not only this, I found out, one of the persons also changes his/her answer based on he/she likes you or not. Answer given in one day turned out not be true in the very next day.
