I had a terrible experience with ******* ****** at ************ Apartments. I was excited about the prospect of moving in but after dealing with her, I decided to withdraw my application.******* was dismissive, rude, and unhelpful from the start. She cut me off during our phone call and refused to listen. I misplaced my Social Security card but provided a photocopy, passport, and state-issued drivers licenseall valid forms of ID. Despite this, she refused to accept them and made no effort to explore alternative solutions, te... read more

I applied for a 2x2 over 3 wks ago, and was told I was approved 2 days ago. In that time the unit rent increased from $1705 mo to $1975 mo. Management put me off for 3 weeks with very little communication. Move in dates did not line up to my schedule which I discussed when i first viewed the floor plans, and they said they would see what they could do for me. I was seeing red flags throughout this process due to terms constantly chaning. Also, I figured they would raise my rent drastically in a year. This was extremely frust... read more

Management doesnt exist or respond to emails. Our unit was covered in glass, human hair, and dust. Our titanium locked bike was stolen within 24hrs out of the bike room that was left unlocked by staff. Our refrigerator was broken for two months before they replaced it. Our ac unit was leaking large amounts of water despite being assured the issue was fixed when we brought up the apparent recent damage. It also took them 5 days to come to look at. We have had our time wasted, been lied to, ghosted, and stolen from in our own ... read more

Big on business clients. Not very resident friendly. The awful reviews on this site do not apply to this review of my building management by Thrive.Unfortunately, I am beginning to feel like Thrive renters, the actual building rental clients, are not a very important part of the glorified THRIVE community. Our contract seems to have shifted away from considering our apartment our HOME. I feel I am treated as a liability that needs to be spied on and controlled with regard to details that should be part of my personal home ma... read more

Hello *******,We appreciate your residency at ****** Apartments and want to ensure that all residents feel free to express themselves within their apartment homes. The recent discussions about your outdoor patio area aim to ensure fair and equitable treatment for all residents.According to the lease, outdoor furniture and plantings are the only items allowed in compliance with community standards. Unfortunately, your large greenhouse structure, storage rack, displayed tapestry, and railing planters do not adhere to these gui... read more

Listen from start to finish this company is literally one of the worst apartment managements I have ever dealt with. THERE IS NO MANAGEMENT. All the people working in Washington have no clue even what goes on in there ********, ** buildings. THEY ARE TERRIBLE. The one star is not just a given. Now I know they're trying to sell the building (***** 51 Apartments) because they legit don't know how to manage an apartment building. No security, no one answers the phones. There's always animal f**** around the apartment building b... read more

*********** apartments increase my rent more then if I would have just gotten a new unit they said now I can only rent in 8 month terms but when I had friends and family called as new tenets they not only got a better price but year leases offered When I talked my leasing office they said I could always just reapply but I run the risk of not qualifying Ive been a resident for 15 years

Business response:

Hi ****,It's discouraging to read your review and we are hoping to clarify our lease term offering. We stagger our lease terms to manage our occupancy level each month. Pricing is unit dependent and can change daily based upon availability. We've escalated your concern to the Community Manager and encourage you speak to him for more information regarding your renewal.

Do whatever you want at Canopy Apartments, park in others paid spots, openly consume drugs on your porch, leave your dog f**** all over the complex, you can even drink in the parking lot and leave empty bottles in the grass. Warning emails will be sent to the community, but nothing is ever enforced here. Upon move in, none of the promised and paid for amenities were available. The gym/clubhouse didn't open until 3 months into my lease, after numerous moved dates for the opening. Only a week after opening, the clubhouse was t... read more

BBB complaint has been filed under ID ********, attempts over the phone and email to reach management staff have been ignored.Illegal rental management practices and sloppy staff: 155 days after moveout, they are still withholding my deposit at ************ due to baseless "standard cleaning charges" without providing proof of itemized damage. In fact their own staff wrote on the moveout form that "floor/carpet condition OK" in the only rooms that have carpet, and they still are double charging exorbitant carpet cleaning fee... read more

Business response:

Hello,I am very sorry to hear that you are frustrated by this situation. When assessing the carpets: we write okay if the carpet does not need replaced. We are still required to clean them between each resident. And we send notification of move out charges via mail to the forwarding address provided by the resident when notice is given. All of these charges were noted in the move out statement, that was provided at move out and in the complaint file.We ************ all of our residents with the best customer service and we ho... read more
