Rude to our group. Had to wait until last person arrive even though we knew his order. Scallops didn't arrive with everyone else's meat. When it came, it wasn't properly cooked. Chef was marginal. I won't go back. Fiji steakhouse much better.
It was awesome and will visit this restaurant again...
First we got in trouble for making reservations and not wanting to use the grill table. Then when we told them we didn't want to grill table we literally got kicked out of that table. Had to stand in the middle of the room while they got us another table. Very rude. Won't be back, don't care how good the food is. Just rude. We all felt like we were in trouble and there were 10 of us.
Found the restaurant in a guide to Iowa City area. So glad we did! Huge Bento boxes that were delicious. We definitely will be coming back!
Usually they're really good, but I went a little earlier tonight with fiancee and his brother. The hostess was telling the family in front of us that the wait for sushi was an hour while the wait for hot meals was an hour and a half. The father of the family was told, "Sorry, we're just too busy" while clearly we could see full booths open. While this was happening, a bartender was arguing with a waiter. Clearly understaffed and tensions high in the restaurant, we had to go somewhere else.
Excellent! A must visit every time we're in the area. Salmon Teriyaki Bento is one my favorites for lunch. My must have is the Pee Wee Crazy Roll. Everything on the menu both lunch and dinner is yummilicious!
Best sushi I ever tasted!!
Like Shokai, but better and cheaper.
