Absolutely go through Thompson's off of Georgetown. Just go kayaking for two hours. Truly a long time to be out though doesn't sound like it. And bring sunscreen. You'll burn w/o realizing.
On May 23, watch out for a large group of Climate Ride cyclists who are almost done with their ride! They're pedaling from NYC to DC to raise money and awareness for a sustainable future.
Climate Riders: Enjoy a view of passing paddlers as you wait for Climate Riders to gather. From here you’ll ride on some of Washington D.C.’s grandest streets to the National Mall, 2.4 miles away.
Great park bench overlooking Potomac
Prices were raised. Both single and multi-speed bikes $7 per hour. Single speed used to be $4.
Great place for kayaking
Don't use the porta potties :)
