I have been a patient of Dr. Kauffman since 1983. In addition my son and grandson were his patients. His practice is all encompassing and I recommend him to all friends that are experiencing dissatisfaction with their current dentist and/or need quality dental and overall health care advice. His staff is customer service oriented and go beyond simply making the appointment for your visit. I cannot say enough about his professionalism and my consummate health care provider.
Very pleasant staff and a nice Dr. However, instead of focusing on my dental check up, he kept on looking at my deviated septum. He and his staff were insisting on sending me to a specialist with their scans. I would have to pay $500 for scans. I refused to do so and the front desk staff was very pushy. I ended up going to ENT on my own and ended up paying $20 for a CT scan. This dentist should focus more on a dental work and not on ripping off customers by pushing to pay for his referral files.

Not exactly sure who this is, but AI am pretty sure that this patient went to the ENT she was referred to by our office, had an examination, and did NOT have an image taken that she paid 20 for.. They used ours. She then received the insurance payments from the insurance company that was sent to her, and she did not feel it necessary to pay her bill. She was sent off to collection. Now she complains publically. Patients in our practice always are informed and consent to the care in writing
Friendly staff, excellent scheduling processes, in fact, the best managed medical office I have experienced. I have been a patient for 34 years and so I have a good foundation for evaluating. Dr. Kauffman is always friendly, prompt, professional, and while they do offer high-end elective procedures, they do not mislead or push them on patients. I am happy to know about available cosmetic advances. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Dr. Kauffman has been my dentist for 25 years. He is the consummate professional. He and his staff do whatever it takes to make sure that their patients receive the highest-level dental care, in a responsive, comfortable and friendly environment. I have never known Dr. Kauffman to recommend any treatment options that were not absolutely medically necessary. I have the highest degree of trust in his judgment and skill.

One of the perks of practitioning for 43 years is that long term patients many time become close friends, This patient is one of our favorites. It is sad that so many times people can post criticisms anonymously without complete information. We are certainly not perfect, but to a person we always to do the right thing with our patient's best interests at heart. Thank you B for your kind words.
While the office is nice, and the staff courteous, every time I went, high cost options were recommended. I started to wonder if all these recommendations were really necessary, or if the office was financing a high cost lifestyle. After several visits, and one expensive treatment, I found that the office didn't get enough info from my insurance, they back charged me, and I ended up paying more than double the original amount. I no longer trust that their recommendations.

This patient is unhappy because her insurance coverage was poor. Our fees for this difficult and complex surgery were stated clearly, consented to in writing, and resulted in a great result. Her insurance carrier failed to reimburse for all of the treatment leaving a balance. While we try to anticipate and help guide our patients utilize their benefits, we cannot guarantee any insurance carrier will pay anything, even with an estimate of charges. We miss this patient and wish her well.
Terrible dentist with bad attitude!!! Insisted on filling a tooth and initially refused to give me pain meds although I only requested Ibuprofen 800. Pain became much worse after his filling and I had to go to another general dentist who referred me to an Endodontist who performed root canal. Just received another $200+ bill from Dr. Kauffman after paying him $1000 out of pocket + $750+ from insurance for lousy dental work!!! Run away from this dentist if you don't want to be robbed!!!

This patient's account of her visit to our practice is just not true. Anyone who knows me well would agree that this is a harsh over statement and not factual. Most of our patients, new and familiar, we love to see come. And a few, a very few, we love to see go. This one falls into that category.
