Dr. Brunner is all about selling you his assessment tools. He is very arrogant and will try to persuade you that his anger assessment is the best of the best with out looking to other pre-existing tools. He is just a hungry shark and does not care about people "bellow" him.
Business response:
Thank you for your input and sharing your perceptions! I cannot recall getting this feedback from a client, but please feel free to call and to setup a time to chat with me. I suggest that any reviewers of this review read my responses to the other reviews. As I have said elsewhere, I heartily agree that if someone is “promoting” themselves, you need to be very suspicious. Example: we believe people should focus on the work product, and measureable results. So, for example, we show people examples of our reports are complete... read more
We were referred to Dr. Brunner by a family friend. We had two different children with special needs, one who had been previously misdiagnosed. Dr.Brunner was very thorough, kind, and effective. It felt like his assessment style was very tailored to us, rather than being generic. He walked us through the treatment options and our kids are both now doing really well! We have several neighbors who feel the same way.
Business response:
Thank you very much for the feedback. Misdiagnosis is rampant because so often professionals do not take the necessary time to articulate the nuances of the problem, and put it in the context of the child's talents, strengths, and passions. So glad everything worked out for your child!
Dr. Brunner handled our family situation with the utmost sensitivty and professionalism. He did not charge us for all the services he provided, and he showed himself to be a true child specialist with unique training. I am glad we listened to our neighbor who referred us to him.
Business response:
I truly appreciate your feedback. We have all experienced healthcare where there is a lack of sensitivity, so I am delighted that you felt respected by me and our office!
As the parent of a teenage patient of Dr. B's, I have nothing but glowing things to say. He has been caring, concerned and able to connect with a teenager who has had difficulty in terms of interpersonal relationships with family and in social situations. He has patiently worked with our son to develop a trusting relationship, and has enabled our son to develop self-confidence that was lacking. He is a skilled therapist, and I recommend him without hesitation - we and our son are very glad we found him!
Business response:
Often the difference between a teenager who turns out well and one who doesn't is the presence of a Mentor. Social science research actually substantiates that one of the most critical things for children, especially those facing difficult situations, is the presence of a Mentor. I feel lucky and honored to have served your family! Thank you for having the fortitude and insight to have a psychological professional serve as your child's Mentor.
Dr. Brunner is an excellent salesman and I think that is where his interest lies. He has successfully promoted himself as an expert at assessments, yet lacks real expertise and fails to see the complete picture of complex cases. He was arrogant and quick to jump to conclusions/diagnoses. His billing practices were unclear and suspect. He is not a true professional.
Business response:
Thank you for your input and sharing your perceptions! I suggest that any reviewers of this review read my responses to the other reviews. I may sound repetitive here, but this review sounds highly reminiscent of one other review. I invite anyone reading about this perception to thoroughly and exhaustively research me, as well as any other practitioners they are considering working with. That way, they are getting a 360° view of possible practitioners. You should definitely aggressively interview any practitioner you are con... read more
