I reached out to Dr. Brunner for an evaluation to determine the best course of action in regards to treatment. He was cordial, professional, and met my expectations of a clinician. It appeared that he cared about me and the outcome. He was also very transparent when it came to expectations from both sides of the table, and pricing since I was paying without insurance. I would recommend him to anyone, and I would absolutely return in the future.
Where do I start. Dr. Brunner is thoughtful, kind, generous with his time, engaged with your child. And most importantly treats your child as they need to be treated while being utterly transparent through the process. My child would not be where she is today... a college graduate that knows where she’s wants to go or at least has a strong idea of how to get there. Thank you Dr Brunner and Denise!
Over a year ago, after doing an incredible amount of research over about a month, my husband and I decided on Dr. Brunner. I have mixed feelings about my experience with Dr. Brunner: On one hand I found him to be knowledgeable, resourceful, and highly competent in his field and that is why I hired him and paid him more than $4,000. But I also found his business practices to be very poor and for that reason, I would not recommend him to others. I expressed several of our billing concerns and general complaints in writing. We were referred to Dr Brunner by a teacher at our son's school. He evaluated our son over several sessions. We, the parents, were brought in for an interview at the very beginning and the very end of these sessions. The information we were given about our son was extremely helpful in determining the next steps for his education and also gave us new insight to his personality and how best to parent him. Dr, Brunner was the court ordered evaluator for our legal decision-making evaluation, after my ex-wife and were engaging in some serious mud slinging. He took alot of time to do the evaluation , and neither my ex wife or I came out looking like angels. But neither of us were angels, we both had things to work on, and Dr. Brunner articulated what we needed to do to protect our children. About a year ago, I was involved in a custody battle because the home my 12-year-old son was living in was very unhealthy for him psychologically. I suspected that he was being pressured to say and do certain things that were very out of character for him, but found it hard to demonstrate that in court without objective professional input from a seasoned psychologist. Dr. Brunner maybe through but he does not dig deep enough to find the root cause of problem's going on!! he listens to everybody but only has you come in once. How are you supposed to get to the bottom of something your accused of with only one meeting. He tends to take one side in his report even though the other parent has done wrong and there is proof.
