As a pediatrician and mother of 3, I have referred many families to Dr. Brunner over the last 10 years, as well as bringing one of our children to him for assessment. He handled our situation with respect and appreciated the complexity of our challenging child. No one I referred over to him complained to me about Dr. Brunner when I asked for feedback. Other than that he can run late but that is healthcare. I find him compassionate and straightforward, a rare combination. I also referred a few families who were going through ... read more
Business response:
Thank you so much for your feedback! I really appreciate you taking time to acknowledge the realities of the healthcare situation! Yes, when a psychologist does forensic or court related work, and not many psychologists do, that can mean that people who do not feel validated - regardless of the truth of the matter - can become quite emotionally reactive if things do not go their way. Thank you for your maturity!
arrogant and opinionated , lacks professionalism and does not take the time to understand the real issues.
Business response:
Thank you for the input! I agree that if a professional is arrogant then they should get that feedback so they can adjust their behavior. I do not recall receiving this feedback from a client of ours, but feel free to call us so we can chat about your perception. I am finally getting to responding to these reviews! I appreciate you reaching out, because that may have taken true courage The perception that I operate in an arrogant manner is completely contrary to my approach to be very down-to-earth. What I love about my work... read more
Dr. Brunner is overpriced. And is a real threat to families that are trying to do what's best. He's arrogant. I beleive he favors people in a case. He's more into having you do his own evaluations than he is on trying to really figure out what the real problem is. He's never on time. And I can assure you that you can tell if he doesn't like, or beleive anything you have to say within the first 1/2 hour of meeting with him. His expressions are just not very nice, if he doesn't like an answer you give. It's too noticeable. It'... read more

Thank you for the feedback! This sounds like one other review that comes after this, and thus what I have to say in response to the review after this is applicable to this review as well. Starkly contrary to the perception voiced in this review, I am actually most often accused of being too thorough!! This is because my passionate and vigilant focus is to make sure and take the right amount of time with each situation, such that clients feel like they were truly “turned inside out”. There is no other way to do this work and ... read more
Dr. Brunner is an insightful forensic psychologist who is meticulous in his attention to the details of the issue at hand. He was involved at the end of my six-year child custody battle. He did an amazing job assisting the court in sorting through the facts and fictions in our custody case. I can tell you through my experience he seems somewhat cold-blooded in nature, however, he is extremely professional, organized, and is dedicated to doing the job right. He is, admittedly, somewhat expensive, but well worth it. After a cu... read more
Business response:
Thank you so much for recognizing the level of meticulousness that must be used, especially in high conflict legal situations. Regarding your perception that I may have seemed "cold-blooded", I'm so sorry to hear about this perception. I know I work very hard, as does my Assistant, to ensure we are as sensitive as possible. Please feel free to give us a call if you want to share what perceptions you had that may have contributed to this overall perception. We are always evolving in how we do things! There is no doubt that yo... read more
Dr Brunner is by far the worst decision you can make for your family. This man is extremely arrogant, unprofessional, and only cares about his wallet. He has a very awkward presence about himself and made my family extremely uncomfortable. My child was not comfortable with him at all. If you are looking for professional help and are going through court mediation of any sort, do not recommend him and stay very clear from him and his services. He literally forms an opinion about his clients and disregards years of history with... read more

Thank you for the input! This review sounds highly reminiscent of review posted about a month later, so I encourage reviewers of this material to review my response to that review. We certainly don’t assume that the same person could be posting multiple reviews, but it has been known to happen. This review ends by suggesting people should do their research, and we completely agree! In fact, we make ourselves completely transparent by putting everything I have done professionally online, making previous clients available for ... read more
Dr. Brunner flexibly and kindly worked with our military family to help us with our 6 and 9 year olds. We appreciated his making himself transparent by putting so much information on his website, because we wanted to carefully choose the right professional after having the first one not work out. Ugh!! But Dr. B went the extra mile! We have noted several negative reviews that are financially focused, and while we admit it was not cheap, we found Dr B to be fair, ethical, and cost-saving. I agree you should do your research, ... read more
Business response:
Thank you for the feedback! I particularly appreciate your willingness to understand that even though healthcare can be costly, it is important to have a long-term cost-effective perspective. In other words, to understand that psychological work can seem to be expensive, the problems it fixes are inordinately more expensive if they are not taken care of! I truly appreciate your taking time to write this review.
Dr. Brunner is certainly not the kind of person I would trust with my children. I am concerned a businessman is recycling his few "healthcare" illusions and reselling them to his clients (see his website). His quality of care is below par but the office will certainly spend more of their time trying to convince you otherwise than actually treating your child. The office is all talk and one size fits all results nickled and dimed for every phone call, excessive questionnaire, wanting your child in and out with the focus and e... read more
Business response:
Thank you for your input! I am very sorry your perception is we did not meet your expectations. I work as a compassionate clinical scientist who is focused on providing people with an exhaustive amount of information so that they can make decisions that they are most comfortable with. It is interesting that the reviewer says they should go to my website to view healthcare “illusions”. Meanwhile, I’ve received hundreds of positive reviews of my website, because people feel like I put more on my website than they have ever see... read more
Dr. Brunner was extremely knowledgeable and thorough in his assessment and recommendations for treatment and services for my son. I wholeheartedly recommend him.
Business response:
Many thanks for your feedback! I always feel lucky when families trust me to work with their children, who are the most important part of their lives!
He was very helpful, but sometimes I questioned further steps being necessary or not.
Business response:
I hope that you ended up asking all the questions you had, as I firmly and passionately believe that if you have questions, you have to ask them. Anytime I perceive a client has a question, whether they are an adult or child, teacher I’m consulting or pediatrician, attorney asking for input or a judge asking me questions in a court of law, I stop what I am doing and completely focus on ensuring they ask all the questions they have until they are completely comfortable. You should never work with a doctor where you feel like ... read more
