Went for a surgical consult and had cataract surgery
Dr Thomas has been my ophthalmologist since he started his practice. He has performed successful surgeries on me and has always been thorough and communicative and caring. I have recommended him to several family members that are now his patients. He is the best!
Dr Thomas successfully removed cataracts 5 years ago. No problems whatsoever. I always enjoy seeing Dr Thomas. He is personable, easy to talk to.
This cataract removal operation turned out to be a very pleasant procedure. Dr Prater really knows the process obviously. I did not even know he had started to remove the cataract when he announced to me that he was finished! It could have not taken more than 15 minutes and I was being wheeled to the door. I highly recommend Dr Prater and the entire staff to anyone looking for an experienced capable eye clinic to do this procedure.
Dr. Thomas has been my ophthalmologist for 8 years. He has a great personality, truly cares about us, and takes time to address issues during our visits. Our questions are answered and concerns addressed. Dr. Thomas is the best. His staff are also great.
I’ve used Dr Thomas for a few years now. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is in need of an OPTHAMOLOGIST. Very patient and caring. Found my rare eye disease and sent me to KU when he found that I had little peripheral vision. His staff is amazing as well Highly recommend!!!
Very likeable. He and his staff go to Mt. Grove to confer with patients. He was not in a hurry, he asked me about my eyes and answered my questions. I very much appreciated not having to drive to Springfield for the initial meeting.
I had cataract surgery 3 days ago and I am amazed how well I can see.The surgery was painless and lasted just a few minutes. Since the surgery I have had absolutely no pain. Dr Mattax was fantastic with me along with all his staff. Can’t wait to get my other eye done. I would highly recommend Dr Mattax!!! It is so nice to see without glasses for the first time in over 30 years.
I was legally blind. My vision was considered "count fingers" without glasses or contacts. For those who don't know, that means that my vision was so bad, it wasn't even on the 20/20 scale.
