Tom was great to work with through every step of the buying and selling processes. Though Tom was the listing agent for the seller (making us aware of his responsibilities), he fought for us to be the buyers of his clients property listing. He understood that his seller, and especially with a bidding war, was deeply interested in their property going to someone who would respect the property as they did. His work on listing, showing, but above all understanding and respect for his sale was quite impressive.
Okay, so those who follow my reviews, I hardly ever give anyone or any place 5 stars. Thomas Downing, deserves all my 5 stars, and if I had 10 I would give them to him. He helped with both my buy and sale aspects and I couldn't have asked for a better person to guide me in an emotional and definitely a not an easy process. He made everything smooth and efficient. Tom is hands-down the best real estate agent I have had the pleasure to work with. He was very dedicated to us, always making room in his calendar to see new houses as they came on the market. He was also always available and responsive to consult on all matters. This was our first purchase in the Chicagoland area (admittedly much different than other places we have purchased) and Tom was extremely helpful in navigating the process.
