RecommendedI work at the apple store a block away and for the past four years I eat at the yard several times a week the food and beer selection is amazing but what really keeps me coming back is the staff mike the manager is one of the nicest humans you might ever meet and chad and Shannon the bartenders I usually encounter are so sweet and fun and always give me the best recommendations if you haven’t been here you are missing out!!!

The food was amazing! I had a plain grilled cheese with tomato soup and chips. Grilled cheese is their specialty and they have a bunch of different ones! My friends and I each tried a different one and loved them. The portions were perfect and the price was good! My friends ordered the mimosas and bloody marys, which also looked delicious. I would like to go back when i am not pregnant so i can try them!
The service was terrible. Although we were quickly seated in the dining room, after 15 minutes we were not greeted or served. We sat for another 5 minutes before we gave up and left. There were only 4 other tables with couples and two servers. The servers studiously ignored us, walking past us at least four times. This is inexcusable and we will not return and will tell everyone of our experience. PS: our suspicion is that we were ignored because we were in our 70s while the other customers were in their 20s or 30s.
