We spent 4 nights here and loved it. Slept with our deck door open every night to listen to the river. It was close to Rocky Mountain national park and within walking distance to the downtown shops. Disappointed that elk didn't come on property while we were here but saw several wildlife while hiking, including turkey, elk, deer, and of course the chipmunks. We've been to the ocean last year, and mountains this year and hands down we choose mountains. Definitely be back
The room is smaller than most hotels we stay at, extremely out dated & priced the same as cabins & condos. The staff is extremely nosy!!! they will not let kids anywhere near the river, you have to buy firewood from them (you can not pick up dead sticks from the forest) we feel harassed & have absolutely no privacy. They are not pet friendly but yet they do not have any formal pet policies set in place. We have talked to several other people here & they all feel the same way. Do yourself a favor & get a cabin some else!!
Excellent! Cozy cabin #16. Right on the river, complete with hot tub, fire pit and chipmunks!!!
We had such a wonderful stay!! The resort is awesome with a beautiful river flowing right next to the rooms. The sounds and sights of the river are so soothing. The new ownership is great too and everyone is so friendly!

Just got home from a three night visit. We loved this place! We will be back!
Nice location, we had a cabin right by the river. Fireplace, 2 bedrooms, hot tub, fire pit. I would of gave this a 4 star but we had a broken chair the first night that never got fixed, we had to figure out how to hook up the dvd player ourselves that was sitting by the tv and we found glass at the bottom of the hot tub, which could of been bad and had a fish smell to it. This was our second time staying here and we really enjoyed it! Great service from Jessica and the staff, nice fireplace in the room, and I like the updates they did since the first time we stayed. Just wish the WiFi was better and people going up and down the stairs would be a bit quieter! Rooms 1, 4, 5, and 8 can be noisy being right next to those stairs!
