They gave my grandma the wrong medications, lost her clothes and never cleaned her bathroom in the entire three weeks she was there. Would NEVER recommend this place!

I would not recommend the Villages at all. My father was discharged this week and is not able to care for himself at all. He can't stand or take care of his personal needs. 3 weeks ago when we wanted to bring him home we were strongly discouraged to do so, to the point of the discharge nurse being extremely rude. We tried to care for him anyway at home because he had wounds that weren't being taken care of in the facility. 5 days later he went back to the hospital and was subsequently taken back to this facility. RecommendedI would like to take this time to thank everyone that assisted with my care while I stayed here for five weeks. From social services, physical therapist, recreational therapist, nurses aids, nurses, housekeeping, and if I forgot anyone, I apologize. They care they gave me was excellent. They treated me like I was one of their own family. I recommend highly that villages at Southern Hills. No matter how tired they were or how busy they were they always treated me with loving care. Well, how about after fawning over the family and patient during intake process, the facility- Lee, Director of Nursing, Social Workers and Dr. Zandi try communicating with the family, especially during a lockdown. Hire people who can cook a decent meal, some caring nursing staff and cleaning staff. We received no promised answers to our concerns, we had no way of checking on our father, no help in discharging him to another facility (guess you didn't want to lose income from an empty bed) and NO call from Dr. Zandi when our... read more

My 48 yr. old husband received inadequate care. He ate cold breakfasts most mornings, only received 2 showers in a 5 week stay. Ran out of clothes because their washing machine broke and nobody bothered to call me and request more (I’d been reassured that, due to Covid, his 9 pairs of clothing would be washed daily).
