The service was slow. Took 2hrs to get our food. The food was bad greasy. My 1st and last time to eat there. Not worth what we paid.

RecommendedNice atmosphere, good food, good service. There are several good places in Starkville but this one is usually one of my top places to go.

RecommendedGoing to the Veranda is such a special dining experience... delicious dinner specials, great lunch plates... My late hubby and I often dined early... and enjoyed the quiet time together, delicious meals and wonderful servers.
I have always supported and recommended The Veranda. Not after tonight. Went in at 820pm and was seated only to be told they had closed the kitchen early because it had been a "quiet" night. If they are developing the habit of turning away business that early, then more "quiet" nights may become commonplace. Worst experience ever in Starkville. And from one of my formerly favorite restaurants...
