It's true....there is an ugly grouper. However, there is also delicious food, ice cold drinks and friendly staff. The fans and misters keep things cool on a hot day.

Great food and atmosphere! No crowd when we went and we spent 2 hours hanging out there with our 7 and 13 year old boys. Games made the short wait for food and we were able to relax and finish our beverages afterwards.
The Ugly Grouper is a nice addition to the island. When first we tried it the food was on the over cooked side. Decided to give it another try and told them about the mistakes and told them what we would like to have done. Our meals came out done to perfection. Will be keeping the Ugly Grouper on our Top 10 list.

Hubby and I decided to try this restaurant out yesterday for my Birthday lunch.... very glad we did!! We had picked a different seafood restaurant out online that advertised a nice lunch menu and open at 12 noon, but when we arrived at the "other" restaurant there was a paper sign taped to the front door saying "new hours: 4 pm to 9 pm"!! So we walked around a bit and noticed the Ugly Grouper sign and they WERE open, so in we went! Atmosphere and service were amazing. Wish I could say the same for the food.
Awesome grouper tacos and the chowder is to die for!!! Super cold beer and very friendly staff! Great atmosphere. Would definitely go again!
