awesome menu.. very reasonable prices...awesome service.. good beer.. this place is a class act!!!!
Great atmosphere. Great food. Great wait staff. Check it out!
Walked in at 5:30, the place was empty but it still took about an hour to get our food which was cold. My son ordered a hamburger and they gave him ketchup mixed with some sort of hot sauce so that he couldn't eat it, I tried it and it was hot as hell, the waiter said somebody in the back was trying to be funny. Ordered their desert which turned out to be a 1/8th of an inch thin brownie with almost a teaspoon of ice cream on top and it was like $6 Finally my $12 French dip sandwich had a two inch hard brown leaf that looked ... read more
Overly priced, tastless, and rude service. I would not be coming back to this place.
Excellent beer selection! More progressive dining coming to Abilene. Food looks delicious for I was on a liquid diet! Top notch kitchen staff.
Ate there Saturday night and it was great. A lot of times at openings you have to wait forever for food but the appetizer and entree came out in a timely matter and was all delicious. The slider appetizer was amazing, the beef melted in your mouth, and the presentation was nice.I had the grilled pork chop which I think was a bit too thick...our waitress informed us it would come cooked medium but I could get it well done but would take around thirty minutes.I am not about eating undercooked pork but did so anyway....I don't thi... read more
My food was decent but, the couple we where with had a burger that was still mooing. I understand this place is generally a beer environment but, id like to see a more rounded menu. To pay 32$ for an 18oz is a little ridiculous. You can also get a much better chicken fried steak at cotton patch or sketes for half the price. It's a nice environment just not the best food.
Ok folks, Texas Tech and Texas are playing and they have all the tvs on the Okla State vs Kansas game. Really??? We live in what state? And they won't change it. I don't recommend coming here for watching sporting events. Hope the food's worth it.
Business response:
David, sorry about the TV issue. We haven't been able to iron out the kinks in our TV switching system yet but are addressing it tonight. So far we haven't been able to get one TV to change without changing them all and enraging the entire restaurant. Ultimately we will have six screens of HD, each with independently switchable channels so each section of the restaurant can watch a different game--that solution should happen in the next day or so. Sorry to disappoint, but rest assured we're fixing the problem. Thanks for you... read more
We loved our experience at the Tap House. Cold beer, great food and the staff is well trained. It's also locally owned. We shared a ribeye and oysters on biscuits. Loved it!
