It's always our policy at the Taphouse to try and make every guest happy every time and we go to backbreaking ends to make our food from scratch and take the best possible care with every table. Hubby's burger was delicious. And so was the sweet potato hash. Biscuits and gravy...NOT biscuits and gravy. Basically a little biscuit dough (not completely cooked) mash potatoes on top with a side of average gravy. Also had to go get change at bar to pay, because waiter never came back to table once he brought ticket. Chicken fried bacon...awesome!!! Will definitely go back. And will go to a breakfast joint next time I want biscuits and gravy. :)
Thank you So Much for hosting My and Greg's "Low Key" Happy Hour tonight! It was a HUGE Success. We even had the USAF Thunderbirds come hangout with us!
I have given this place two chances & I will not be going back. 1st time it took 45 minutes to be seated then after waiting at our table for another 30 minutes not a single waiter stopped by our table to ask for drinks. Also, Abilene is smoke free & they had ash trays on ALL of their tables with multiple customers smoking indoors. 2nd time I went the bar tender corrected/argued with my friends & I on multiple occasions & told us, "they have high prices because they don't want a 'certain' type of people there." It is the best food in Abilene. You have to give them a try. They have a awesome selection of beer and wine it is a great experience!!!
