I have generally had a great experience at The Tavern, and the food has usually been exceptional. However, my most recent visit was disappointing for a carry-out order. The fish-and-chips dinner was excellent, but the touted chicken pot-pie ("newly reinstated to the menu") was tiny. I expected a traditional English pot pie (6-8" and stuffed full); instead, I got a little 4" thing (plus a biscuit) - for $10.50+. Delicious, but small. Great food loved the garlic stuffed bacon wrapped dates � had the trout with fresh green beans and red potatoes. It was perfect � kudos to chef but also our great waiter very nice young man plus he knew the menu. Will recommend to anyone who goes Estes Park
