This is the best restaurant in Frederick. My wife and I met at this restaurant and we come here often. The service is always excellent but this past visit was exceptional. We came for our 2 year wedding anniversary. The staff helped us recreate our first date with just a few simple touches. May not have been a big deal to them but it was to us and it meant a lot. Special thanks to Cynthia, Conor and the Manager (so don’t know his name.) Do yourself a favor and eat here.

I was surprised to find that they didn’t have a single vegetarian entree. But that’s cool, after being vegetarian for 30 years I’m used to having to eat off the appetizer and sides menu. They offered to make me something special which was cool but I ended up with a small portion of couscous and veggies which were fairly flavorless. I would have been happier with more of the potatoes I ordered as a side. The creme brule hadn’t been torched any time close to when we got it. After my first meal I asked for an application, 16 years later, history in the making. Great for any reason to pamper yourself with a top notch experience while using fresh ingredients in all cocktails and food.
I typically enjoy eating here, but Friday night was not our night at TR. The food was great--Salmon and Monkfish entreés were amazing. The scallops just okay. The grilled calamari appetizer was out of this world. What fell sadly short (and this has not been my experience in the past) was the service. Our waiter was so cold, brusk and unfriendly--dropped off food and didn't come back to ask how it was, didn't ask if we wanted wine to pair with our entreés, etc...
