Great Place to Stay - Excellent Prime Rib last night!
This charming inn, steps away from The heart of Stowe village, was a delightful place for my sisters and me to have a get together in January. We were close enough to walk into the village for meals and shopping, and the large public areas in the inn, complete with warm fires in the charming fireplaces, were perfect places to sit and talk and relax. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We felt pampered and spoiled during our two days here.
Great value, just checked in and I am not disappointed.
I thought the decor was beautiful & serene. Our meals & the service were great!
Dusty, moldy, unclean and filthy.... Furniture outdated. Blankets ripped. Hair. I travel frequently to this area and have had much better experiences at the commodore, golden eagle resort and other places. The only thing going for this place is that it is close to the downtown Stowe area...
I love the food at the River House Restaurant! I usually end up getting the chef's special and it always measures up, delicious!! They have nice drink selections too with a cozy fireplace, perfect!
