Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Owner /manager was the rudest person I have ever met. Discussed our lodging experience with shop/ restaurant owners in town and they weren’t surprised at all and say they hear the same complaint all the time. place is a joke.
RecommendedBy far one of the best historical hotels I have ever been too ! As soon as I walked in I got a magical feeling ! The hotel manager was so sweet and helpful ! You could tell all the people at the hotel we’re happy. I saw families laughing and smiling upon pulling in. There’s a beautiful pool! It’s in the heart of Stowe Vermont, Right down town ! 😠We arrived to a room that was not prepared for us in any way! Not even a sheet on the bed!
Believe the bad reviews! The good ones must be fake. This place is simply awful. It is a beautiful old building, but don't be fooled by the outside of it, or by the pictures that must have been taken many years ago! We checked in here but chose not to stay after we had a look at the room: absolutely filthy and stained pull-out couch that my 4 year old was supposed to sleep on (which was not made up with sheets though it should have been); chunks of food including peanuts with mice droppings under the beds; big dark stains on... read more
Inappropriate and unprofressional treatment and activity from the front desk day of checkout, felt like seedy motel, definitely learned to check reviews first before booking next time. Moldy and dated beds, needed a good night rest and felt worse should have driven the 6 hours home rather then stayed. Waited at restaurant/tavern for half hour on Saturday evening.... guess they decided to close it. Outdoor pool open until 11 has no lights so please beware. The Stowe Inn took us in after hours when our standing reservation was a complete flop. The room was cozy, clean, and quiet. The front desk staff was extremely nice and helpful.
