Lived up to its rather racy image. Extremely comfortable bed, large room with balcony and no noise despite earplugs provided. We loved the pool area.
Great location, but the Hotel should be called the basic not the Standard. You can be retro without being without. Rooms leave little to be desired, nowhere to put your clothes, as they lack any drawer or dressers. The beds and floors squeak every time you move. I guess the tv signal is retro also, since every channel was almost unwatchable with static. Ever hear of HD? Went to the pool, which they allow locals to use, and tried to reserve 2 lounge chairs, was told they couldn't reserve chairs. I would never stay here again ... read more
Was in LA last week for a conference and staying at The Standard was a great choice! Great rooms and the rooftop was a delight. Spent most evenings up there people watching and enjoying delicious cocktails! Great and helpful staff from the valet, to the bartenders to the front desk! Highly recommend.

I stayed here for 3 weeks to finish remodeling my loft and every single thing from the restaurant to the rooftop along with every person I encountered we're beyond fantastic! Love, love, love ❤️
Nice 50s-style esque hotel with a old Hollywood glam feel. Expensive as hell though. Enjoyed the pool and the diner. My room had a great view of West Hollywood that I will never forget. The only thing that pissed me off is that they confused me about the room rates. I lost a lot of money staying just a extra night and the communication was not clear. Besides that, enjoyed the hotel.
It's a fun place, young vibe with pool side, bars and restaurants in the heart of Hollywood.
They organize Pool Parties all summer long. Sip a cocktail or two or three... On the top of the world, listening to live music at sunset, you will be amazed by the atmosphere and feelings you will get from it.
