It's my favorite "date night" place hands down, but last night we walked in with a group of 23 and not only was the food outstanding as usual, but they handled our last minute crowd without a hitch! Kudos to all! Simply love this place.
My husband and I have wanted to try this place out for 2 years. Yesterday we were in Memphis for an appointment and decided to stop in for lunch. NOW I see what everyone has been trying to tell me. The atmosphere is lovely. Relaxing smooth jazz plays over small speakers at just the right volume. Patrons range from college students, young professionals and mid lifers (that's us). My husband I tried The Second Line for the first time on Tuesday February 15th. We were greeted with a smiling welcome and seated right away. Our server was Chris and he also welcomed us and asked if we had been there before, and immediately gave us a fabulous smile and a run down of favorites. Always a treat... at the very top of my most recommended resturaunts in Memphis for anyone visiting or just wants a good meal
First off I believe in giving good points before bad the friendliness of the staff was greatly appreciated. I didnt enjoy the food at all. I orderd and appetizer, french fries with some type of chesse and gravy is was not very appealing to the eyes nor to the taste buds. Then I had the catfish with onion rings, hush puppies, and cole slaw. My sister said the bloody Mary's were amazing. I am a huge fan of the cheese grits. Best I've ever had.
My food was excellent and my server was so delightful always a smile on her face.
