We came out for our anniversary today. We didn't realize Sunday was Brunch and were a little sad when we sat down to a brunch menu. I have to say we changed our minds quickly as the brunch was wonderful. They also gave us a free dessert for our anniversary and it was amazing. Vegan Brownie Sundae was to die for!!! Can't wait to make the 45 minute drive again to have a chance at the fabulous dinner menu as well.
Great restaurant. Nice atmosphere, great waitress, and good food. We each had the "tasting menu" which consisted of five courses and a sample of the apple ginger sorbet. We also had the wine pairing which consisted of a sparkling, a Pinot Grigio, a port, and a some kind of red wine. Although it was a bit on the high side (Comparable to Ruth's Chris, or more) for this area, I would definitely go again. Nice place.
I've been to The Root twice and I love the food and service! The French onion soup is the best I've had anywhere and our server Karen was delightful. The workers are very attentive and they run a smooth kitchen. I live in Macomb Twp and The Root is worth the drive!!!!
Visited many times. Always local fresh produce, delicious homemade soups and salads. Waiter Ryan is awesome. You won't be disappointed.�

This restaurant has been on my list of places to go to. I have to say, I was not at all disappointed. The food, atmosphere and service was beyond expectations. I had the vegan tasting menu. It was spectacular. The flavor was off the charts and in the season. The service was so on spot, I was practically blowing through courses. The whole experience was perfect.
We frequently dine at The Root Dinner and Sunday brunch, the food is always outstanding and the staff is amazing always welcoming and on point . By far one of our favorite restaurants. Tell your friends you won't be disappointed not to mention local farm fresh ingredients. Thank you for being a great place and local
