The Roast Office is a coffee cafe within the old Pinehurst Village Post Office building serving reasonably priced drinks, snacks, pastries, and a variety of 'eats'. They charge the building with a Village Bookstore that is a great concept, selling tons of books at low, low, prices (e.g., hardcover books in excellent condition, like new, for $4; paperbacks less; March special is buy 1, get 2 free). This is one of my favorite little spots in Pinehurst. The atmosphere is great for reading, studying, or just hanging out with a friend. The coffee is delicious. And it's always nice to peruse their book selection.
