I would not recommend living here to anyone. I have lived here for almost 2 years now, living here my first year had minimal issues and I was very happy with the property so I resigned my lease. That was a mistake. Just this summer, my car was broken into along with multiple others on the property yet management still continues to do nothing about it. Within the past week I have had things stolen from my back patio on 2 separate occasions, again, with management taking no action. On top of all the theft and security issues a... read more

The gate to this complex has not been fixed in over a year. I made a review 7 months ago on google and they responded to it. Yet, if you come today the gate has still been broke. This whole time. There was a shooting next door, and there was a shooting here a couple years ago which is why we have a big gate around the complex to begin with. Would move out tomorrow if they didn’t make it impossible to get out of your lease. This place is awful and they don’t take care of the property or respond to people’s requests. It is ent... read more

I lived here for 1 year and it was TERRIBLE!!! Do not live here!!! Things were constantly broken and we would contact the office and they would never get fixed. There workers would allow there selves in when they wanted if they needed to do something or do a “quarterly” walk through. They say they have security walking around at night but they do not because my car was broken into and they said nobody was working that night. Most of the time their computers and printers didn’t work. I moved home when my semester ended in May... read more

The Retreat is an amazing place to live! I lived here two years ago and then decided to move away... I wish I would’ve stayed! So I moved back and can’t recommend this place enough to UofL students. The staff is very friendly and helpful, maintenance is always on top of things, there is valet trash, a 24/7 gym and printing area, a sauna, and a coffee and tea maker. Plus, it feels safe living in a gated community!

I think the Retreat is a great housing option for people who want to be close to campus and want to live in a furnished place. The cottage style houses really make you feel at home. Whenever I had a maintenance issue, filing a maintenance request online was super easy and always processed in a quick manner. I personally think the Retreat has the best gym compared to any other housing option around campus. The staff is super nice and helpful and there are a bunch of events etc. they organize. Me and my friend used the roommat... read more

The Retreat is a great place to live! Close to campus, has a lot of great amenities to offer, and parking right outside my door! Love using the pool over the summer.
