Food and service is very good. The Guinea hen and seafood stew are both excellent. Beer selection is top notch. Cocktails are interesting but unfortunately not that tasty. Craft cocktails are cool but they need to taste good. I hope to see an expanded cocktail selection next time. Dessert menu looked awesome. I highly suggest you go several times - you will easily find some great food and drinks- The Publican will quickly become a favorite of yours.
Excellent taste! Service was attentive! A fun experience.
We went here after the theater so we arrived a little early. Fortunately for us they were able to accommodate us. We started with cocktails, fresh oysters and the charcuterie platter. All were excellent! For dinner we decided on the chef selection dinner choices. From beginning to the beautiful ending it was excellent. We will definitely be going back.
Farm to fork at its best, in one of the original trend-setting restaurants that have built the West Loop into a foodie capital of the world.
One word : FANTASTIC!
The food and presentation are fantastic. The service is astounding. My only negative comment is that they bring people at your table while the parties table is being set up. It was a bit intrusive while having conversations.
No photos, but our party of 4 shared sides of barbecued carrots, cauliflower gratin and apple salad. We also shared ham trio, suckling pig and ribs. Ditto lots of beers, two cocktails, and deserts. Not just good, or excellent, but spectacular. We ate at the main location, not the airport. James Beard award-winning chefs are really artists. To me, this award is like a MacArthur grant for chefs. If you're in Chicago and it's in your budget, don't miss The Publican.
Every course was excellent. Recommend the chef's menu - we enjoyed dishes that we wouldn't have selected.
Had a wonderful Saturday brunch. Food was great we ordered so many things and everyone loved their food. The atmosphere is very relaxing and great service. I will be back again for sure.
