I have never written a review of a restaurant on facebook. The food at The Publican is fabulous. The atmosphere in the restaurant is terrible due to the unnecessary volume of the music. If you like inane metal music turned to 10 and cannot speak across a table, this is the restaurant for you. Our restaurant party of nine loved the James Beard award winning food, but hated the ambiance, it was horrible! In Chicago there are better restaurants to enjoy.
Exotic beers and mixed drinks that I've never heard of, great food and service. Highly recommended

Stumbled upon this looking for something else but found a must return to.....great craft beer , bread and cheese.
Very unique cuisine. I especially enjoy dining at places with a paper menu. Locally grown veggies and potatoes. Seafood from wherever it is freshest and available. Great service from Geraldo and the rest of the food staff!
