The ribs were tough and dry. Also had an unexpected additional charge for paying with credit card instead of cash. Found out about the charge after the card had been swiped. Not going back.
Very tasty. Only negative I would say is the meat was cold.
I went for ribs after being told they would “fall off the bone”. However, they were probably the toughest and driest meat I have ever eaten. My husband compared it to a poorly cooked turkey. The green beans had a good flavor, but were cold. To top it off, there was a surcharge applied to our credit card without our knowledge. If it was mentioned somewhere prior to us using our card, we would have paid cash. All in all, I was very disappointed.
Love this place! Great food, great service.
We were on vacation the first part of this week. We were looking forward to going back to eat at The Pedalin' Pig, as we always do when the the Banner Elk area. The BBQ was hard, tough, and tasted as if it had been warmed over several times as did the hush puppies which were actually served cold. The buns were old and hard. Never again, will we eat there.
