I wish I paid more attention to the bad reviews before moving in here. This is the absolute worst apartment I’ve ever lived in in my entire life. Do not move in here. I’ve been here for almost a year. My apartment smelled like cigarette smoke when I moved in and I was told it was just people smoking outside, which was absolutely not true. I found cigarette butts and ash everywhere. I had to deep clean the apartment myself and the smell did not go away for eight months I asked for compensation and of course they did nothing. ... read more

It has been almost one year since I started living at Parkway Apartments. So far, I have never had any problems with anyone in the building. I feel safe here, especially when coming home from work late at night, even around midnight or later. There is always a security person at the front desk, both during the night and daytime hours. Nice enough building, but they really need to take care of the roach infestation. You’ll see them everywhere: in the rooms, hallways, elevators, cabinets, etc. It took me four emails and a threat to contact DCRA to get the management company to send someone to take care of them in my room and even then I had to take extra measures to make sure they were gone for good. For the prices they charge, having an apartment free from pests should be a non-negotiable.
