We had Jennifer Andrews as our postpartum doula and she was AWESOME!!! So awesome she stayed with us for 9 months and will be back in September to help with our new baby girl! We had no idea that a postpartum doula existed but thank goodness we found out because she made having a newborn so much easier in so many ways. Her support and encouragement helped me through, even when I didn't think I could do it- her "you got this girl" made me realize I could!! We happened upon Samara by chance and boy am I glad we did!!! I believe my birthing experience wouldn't have been the amazing experience it was if it wasn't for her supportive and calming demeanor. Samara helped me (try) to keep a cool head when I wasn't quite sure I could. I kept my eyes focused on her while she kept calm and guided me through with confidence. From beginning to end my sons birth was gently loved and supported by our amazing doula Samara. As a first time mom I had many questions and concerns with natural labor and samara always put my mind at ease. I hired Samara as my doula from the Orchid Nest and I could not have been any happier! It was my first baby and I obviously had no idea what to expect. My birthing experience would not have been the same without Samara. She was by my side the moment I arrived to the hospital until after my daughter was born, she held me up during my most vulnerable moments and supported every decision I made. After having a hospital birth that went semi the way I wanted it go in 2014, I decided to have the water birth I have always dreamed of.
