My wife and I had a superb meal at the optimist on Saturday night! The staff were on point and pleasant. The food was perfect and the atmosphere was cool and electric. I highly recommend this restaurant and I am looking forward to my next opportunity to dine at The Optimist!!
This is on my (very) short list favorites and I try to go every time I'm in Atlanta. The staff is friendly and professional - no snotty attitudes here, thankfully! - the environment comfortable, and the food is always, always, always amazing! Oyster happy hour is the BEST idea ever & they honestly don't skimp!
I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. I was fortunate in finding this place by Google. I had a reservation for Friday evening, and they were gracious in calling me to let me know they would be closing due to the inclement weather. I rescheduled for Saturday and they were quite accommodating. We walked in the the ambiance alone was beautiful. I was able to enjoy a wonderful New Year Eve's dinner with my husband and friends. It was a special holiday menu...The oysters were fantastic, but the sword fish was the star of the evening, amazing. I do have to say it is VERY pricy. Because of the special menu, I'm not sure what the usual price point is. But the food was fabulous and the atmosphere was beautiful.
