My mom and I went for lunch and had the lunch special, fish and chips!! The best I've ever had!! Golden crisp on the outside and white and flaky on the inside with plenty of fish and not a lot of batter!! It came with soup or salad so we chose the soup!! It was okay. 8 of us went on Sunday morning for my birthday. Everything was great except my breakfast. I had the waffle with strawberries. The waffle was thick and doughy, the strawberries were cold and the whipped topping was not whipped cream. It was thick and tasteless. Service was excellent, though.
We ate here for the first time yesterday and I was truly impressed. The staff work diligently to seat and serve customers in a timely manner. The food came out promptly and was hot, delicious, and prepared exactly the way we ordered it. Everything looked and tasted fresh. Well staffed for the busy morning and we had multiple staff members check on us, but not to the point that it was bothersome. Really great dining experience. I had the Baja Omelette with "fresh" avocado, and yummy biscuits and gravy.
The coffee & water were pretty ok but you gotta ease up on the salt bra! I love lotsa salt but that was ridiculous! They were nice enough to take the brine-laden omelette off the bill though! Also, I always order hash browns very crispy but the waiter told me they always cook them well done...They were almost raw! I wonder what they would have been like if I hadn't have ordered them almost burnt I think everyone else enjoyed their meal though! The new location spacious, aesthetically pleasing with a bright open layout, outside seating (with heaters), and long counter seating area. The food has not changed, as good as ever! Service is a team sport so if you find your cup empty anyone of the super friendly staff is on it. Wait time was quick even at morning rush and the staff remains as warm and welcoming as a good friend would be. Highly recommend trying the new location.
My Mom and I shared the strawberry Belgian waffle, and the diced ham and scrambled eggs. It was all really good, but the Belgian waffle was the best I'd ever eaten. Not too sweet, flavorful strawberries.
