Very disappointed with our stay at the Seelbach Hilton Louisville. I made reservations for two rooms for two nights through Hilton Corp however, when we checked in I was told that the sweet I booked does not exist at that hotel. The manager was very polite and put us in a comparable room. However, when I was checking out I realized that they were charging me more for the room. We used the Seelbach to get ready in for our wedding. It was beautiful! We booked the Fitzgerald suite which came with a king bed room, a parlor, and a room with two queens. This was where the girls got ready the day of! We chose this for the amount of space that it had. It was plenty big enough for the bride, 8 bridesmaids, 4 hair and make-up people, and 2 mothers. Very nice place. Historical place with great location.
During our stay there were small but frustrating inconveniences. The parking garage machines need work on their operation and payment acceptance. Vending was an issue, at 11pm I wanted a couple bottles of soda. The machines either didnt work or were completely sold out. I checked 4 floors with no luck. Went to the bar and the bar tender had to get the soda from housekeeping or the hotel restaurant which was closed. If you think your going to want anything you might have to bring it.
