Went to The Noisy Oyster for drinks with my friend and sat at the bar. We were immediately greeted by Tara, the bartender. She was amazing! We had just left another bar for lack of service. TARA essentially ran the whole place this evening. She waited on a very full bar, greeted everyone that came through the doors, seated people at tables in the open air area AND dumped the ice for the bar back. Food wasnt horrible, but really not that good. Nice clean reaturant. Staff was very lazy. Our waitress took quite a while just to take our order. Also the only placw i have ever had to pay almost $20 just for 1/2 a pound of shrimp.
We went last night wasn't busy due to every one leaving bc of the storm. Perfect for us locals. We thought how great. We ordered oysters on the half shell.... they were so nasty we couldn't eat....full of sand and shell as well had a super weriod taste. (We eat oysters often something wasn't right) service was great he took them back and said he would rush our steam pots right out... he did they were hot and looking beautiful but that was about it nothing had any seasoning..... nothing just a light dust of something I am pre... read more
The food was delicious. We had a grilled platter. I would recommend the Noisy Oyster in Charleston, SC.
The waitress was seriously bad, we asked her if she could turn the fan above us on and she was looking all around saying what fan? She left the table without taking two of our four drink orders. As for the food it was just ok, had better had worse....would I go back, No.
Great food and excellent service. We had fried gator tail, Mahi Mahi, and shrimp and grits. The food was great, we left stuffed, no room for desert. The service was excellent and they honor the military with a discount. Definitely a must eat there place.
