I’ve been a fan of the Mucky Duck since I first moved to Ames 8 years ago, but they truly won me over this summer. When Olde Main unexpectedly closed, my husband and I had a little less than a month to find a caterer and bar service for our wedding. Marcus and his Mucky Duck team stepped up to the challenge and we were absolutely blown away with how well they handled our situation. Being British myself, I am always being told about British theme bars and asked my opinion.... this time I finally get to say this isn’t a theme pub, this is a proper pub! For a minute I forgot what country I lived in! I haven’t had a Cornish pa as ty in 3 years so the one I had here was perfect and the crumpets were scrumptious!
