Great place. They HAVE IRN BRU!!!!!! Scotch eggs and chips! And hold on....Jelly Babies!
Keep your eye on their feed because when Sunday roast pops up you'll want to get there fast. Just spectacular!
Great little hole in the wall pub on South Duff. Super beer selection, and high-quality authentic pub style food. I had the Cornish pasty and chips and it was outstanding!
Fun place. Actually very family friendly (at lunchtime anyway, which is when we came). Great, personable service and fish and chips was excellent!
Stupendous dinner last night - all four of us got great food. The coffee was superb as well for the two of us who opted for coffee.
We celebrated our son-in-law 's birthday with lunch at The Mucky Duck Pub today. The food was good as usual, and the choice of beers is commendable. We always feel as if we have traveled beyond Ames for a fun experience.
A good friend and I enjoyed a cheese plate, shared a large scone and enjoyed several pots of tea while catching up one long afternoon. Cozy.
Had the fish and chips and it was wonderful. Next trip....bangers and mash can't wait!!!!!
This is a real gem! I was visiting my mom Thanksgiving week and we stopped in to check it out on a Monday night (mom had previously driven by numerous times). They had a good crowd ready for trivia, a large selection of beers and ciders, and an authentic Irish/British menu complete with Fish and chips, teas, and curries. This definitely exceeded our expectations for small town Iowa!
