So we usually get all of our prescriptions from CVS and have for years for multiple reasons. However, apparently CVS did not renew their contract with our insurance this year so we now have to switch pharmacies. A friend of ours suggested we switch to the Medicine Shoppe in Mt. Vernon a while back. I have to say they are top notch when it comes to customer service! I just switched my meds over to them this past week. Eric and his Staff make a point of greeting you as soon as you walk in the door. Eric has also worked hard to get mine & Hubby's meds to come due the same time so I don't have to make a trip to the pharmacy EVERY week to get a refill of something. After the 1st or 2nd time there, most employees will know your name. I remember my 1st time going inside. Brenda waited on me. When I came back a couple weeks later,she called me by name as soon as I walked thru the door. Thanks for the excellent customer service!!! :) :) :)

Want to give a huge shout out to the staff at the Medicine Shoppe. My 9y.o. Grandson is here visiting and we had an unexpected trip to ER today, and of course Gramma didn't have insurance info. The young lady that helped us went above and beyond to help me get the necessary info from his Mom. We ended up having her send pictures of ins. cards, so that a script that was $48.85, cost me nothing. She was super, thanks you so much. I didn't see a name tag, so I don't know her name. Again, thank you!!
We had always used another prominent pharmacy chain in Mt.Vernon until today. My 7 year old daughter was diagnosed with RSV and strep throat, and when we went to our normal pharmacy we were told the insurance wasn't covering the prescriptions. This was the first time I had used this insurance. They weren't very helpful in explaining exactly what the problem was or suggesting other alternatives; so finally I asked for the prescriptions back and said I would go somewhere else.
