About this business

Specialties The Lot is committed to providing refined, imaginative, yet approachable, food. We have the highest standards for our ingredients and source locally whenever possible. Established in 2012, we are the sister restaurant to the Charleston Pour House, Charleston's favorite live music venue. We love good food, good music and good people, so we took all the best of these things and put together this restaurant. Chelsea was graceful, and personable. Food was fantastic, service was perfect on every level. A really nice surprise.

Best so far, after 20+ years in restaurant/fine dining experience, incl mgmt. Service blew me away, menu was impeccable, food was meticulously crafted to finest detail. Ambiance/setting was spot-on. This isn't just a "can't go wrong" place, it's a "go out of your way" place. For sure.

Its located next door to a musical venue that's rife with hippy jam bands: Which is why I have never entered. I was totally wrong! This place is a true hidden gem. The executive chef isn't doing low country favorites like tired shrimp and grits, instead he is embracing and showcasing locally grown produce and proteins. I thought I had to drive downtown to experience this type of flair and care for cuisine but I'm glad that I was wrong. Definitely going back.

Food great, chef has a real future...in another restaurant. The ladies that run the front need a 101 in hospitality and customer service. Slow and unresponsive to customer misgivings. For the price, portions should be a tad bigger. My 10 year old son shouldn't still be hungry after $19. Would've loved to have tried the desserts as planned, but the wait staff chose to ignore our unhappiness with the order rather than address the problem.

My first trip there (from West Virginia). I give it 5 stars easy. Food and service was too great, as was the presentation. Next year I hope to stay overnight, and go to inside the Pourhouse.
