I made reservations to the Lambs Club for our holiday luncheon with colleagues. Last year, I picked Hunt and Fish Club. I had been to the Lambs Club several times before and always enjoyed the cocktails. I also picked this venue because of its close proximity to our office and thought it’s great for a large group. Incredible food and service!!
3.5 out of 5 stars. The venison special was incredible along with roasted chestnuts and and juniper berries on a bed of root veggie puree, with the drinks and wine being undeniably great. The fluke crudo was also very tasty with intricate flavor, but too tiny a portion for $28 a serving. What was really disappointing was the Delmonico steak - which was too chewy with the cut that should usually be tender, containing too many rough chewy spots. Who chars their over priced prime steak to a crisp....? “Chef”Geoffrey Zakarian, that’s who. I shouldn’t taste burnt over beef. The bread was lovely.
Gorgeous interiors, wonderful service and delicious menu. Big kudos to the staff for seating and serving us breakfast even though they were about to turnover to lunch service.
If you love Art Deco then this is a must see in NYC! Even if you just visit the foyer of The Chatwal and not dine!
Had reservations for dinner before the theater. Did not want to do the prix fixe because we are allergic to shellfish and we were limited. Opted to do the lobby bar. Gorgeous. Lovely cheese plate although I wish we had been told what was on it. Bartenders were very gracious and cordial. Would love to come back.
