The Kings Contrivance Restaurant is located on what was a 370-acre farm granted in 1730 by The Lord Baltimore to The Reverend James Macgill. A stately Federal Period mansion was built on the present site. It burned to the ground and was rebuilt in the late 1890's. The residence remained in the Macgill family until the 1960's, when it was converted into its present form as a fine dining restaurant. You can't go wrong here. Food is great! Service is excellent. Our wedding there was perfect!
The ambiance of Kings is wonderful. It makes any occasion all the more special. The menu selections as well as the specials are terrific. I have never been disappointed for the times I have dined there. To accompany your meal there is a thoughtful and reasonably priced wine cellar. The bar keep mixes fantastic cocktails too. Our waitress was attentive without being overbearing or presumptive. Everyone in our family party simply enjoyed themselves!
The grouper in lemon sauce with capers was amazing!
