I work in the neighborhood and just stumbled on this salon. I went in, explained what I wanted and came out looking FABULOUS!! Rosa did my hair the first time I went there and I was so satisfied, I returned the following week. I was a bit skittish because Rosa was busy and Cynthia assisted on my hair but it came out better than the first week. It's always hard for me to find a stylist that works out for me. I have thick hair with a decent grade and I haven't had a relaxer in over a year. Here at this salon they were actually able to get my hair BONE STRAIGHT!! It's so soft, has a lot of body, not weighed down with product, and my roots are incredibly straight you would swear I had it chemically straightened. I definitely will become a regular!!
I am a Puerto RIcan NYer that moved to Dobbs about a year ago. I have always gone to Dominican salons in NY because I have very curly hair and they seemed to be the only stylists that could work my hair. African-American salons used products that were too rough and Caucasian salons...well, need I say more? I went to this salon today and had an amazing experience!! I am an African American with thick type-4 hair so I wasn't sure if they were going to be able to blowout my course hair. Rosa was PHENOMENAL. She made sure she took her time and got really close to my roots. I walked out of the salon with 100 % whip appeal! The prices are moderate but the results are far worth it.
