Zero amenities, no fridge, microwave or pool
Room was nice, but next to the elevator. Desk clerk said we could have another room, but the said no others were clean (at 5:00 pm on a Wednesday?). Had to have dinner at the bar because the dining area was closed at 5:30 on a Wednesday.Thursday morning went to breakfast. The dining area was open, sign said seat yourself so we did. Waited 10 minutes, no service. Went to front desk to ask, desk clerk was less than interested in helping. Room was lacking a mini fridge or ice on the floor, so plan on going to main floor. Elevators are slow though, making the trip for ice painful. Public parking is a few blocks away, not bad but may want to consider valet but factor the cost into your trip. Also only had a partial roll of toilet paper in the room. Luckily finished up in final piece.
We stayed here for an event at Protective Stadium. The location was great for what we needed, close to stadium, restaurants, etc. BUT, the best part of the hotel was the valet staff/service. For $600 + for 2 nights, I'd expect an elevator that actually works and doesn't take forever plus out of 3 there was only 1 that worked. We overheard many other guests expressing the same concern. This was the worst Hotel we have ever booked. It was for a1-night stay at The Kelly Birmingham, Tapestry Collection by Hilton for March 4th to the 5th, 2026 using Airline points. Unfortunately, the property was in such poor condition that we felt we had no choice but to leave. From the time we entered the hotel, the lobby appeared dirty.
