Dr. Schulte at Iowa Clinic, West Des Moines, was wonderful with my 95-year-old mother during her first visit. He was patient, attentive, and took real care in explaining things clearly — not something you always find with elderly patients. As we were walking out, my mother turned to me and said her report was great, but she was sad she didn’t have a follow-up appointment with him because she liked him so much. That says a lot about the impression he made. Highly recommend him for ENT care.
I had a growth on my ear that was concerning, so they got me right in despite my lack of insurance. Dr. Schulte and the team are nothing short of amazing! He helped me out in so many ways, and he REALLY went above and beyond. I had a surgery and they somehow made my worries disappear. He is very thorough and sure does take good care of his patients! I was referred to Dr. Liudahl by my general physician. Upon arriving Dr. Liudahl asked the purpose of my visit - told her I was referred by Dr. Kolb for an MRI (which she already knew from the doctor notes). The doctor told me she doesn’t do these types of MRI’s, but could refer me to Iowa City. She said she thought Dr. Kolb was still running tests. My husband and I took took our baby to see Dr. Schulte for a tongue tie evaluation. At the appointment, we were told that he did not need any intervention, which we were okay with. We trust the judgement of medical professionals. What we were not okay with was his disrespectful and condescending demeanor. We were spoken down to and essentially laughed at for thinking there was a problem that needed to be addressed.
