Lovely place to enjoy a meal with drinks while watching the world walk by. (NORMALLY) We recommend Shamrock because we have had good experiences. Sadly, not this time. There was a group of 16, a variety of meals. The stress of the kitchen showed on the plate and the taste of the meals. Each person said it was nice, not great. Mine was last to come out and needed to go back, my lamb salad had no pumpkin or walnuts and the beetroot had been forgotten. When it came back the lamb was cold and chewy, the plate looked a mess. Was able to make a last minute room reservation due to our other hotel having water damage. Nicky was a wonderful help and got us in at a discount. Will be coming back.
We stayed 1 night at the Shamrock. Room was very clean. Bathroom renovated. Large room. Very Grand Hotel. Staff really friendly. Had dinner very nice. Highly recommend. Has great atmosphere. Very good location. We went across the road to the Electric Wonderland lights.
Absolutely overpriced with meal. The meal there were the worst I have ever eaten out before.
